Regina Casé

Muse of Caetano Veloso (she has two songs composed by him), famous actress, presenter of TV Show and humorist. All this things have a connection in the life of Regina Casé.

Her father Geraldo Case worked in Brazil's biggest TV station. In adolescence, Regina integrated a theater group, called "Asdrubal Trouxe o Trombone". This time Regina won the song “Rapte-me camaleoa” composed by Caetano Veloso.

In television, Regina Casé had great success when she played the character Tina Pepper. This role was inspired in Tina Turner. This character turned Regina into comedian, because after this, she went to “TV Pirata”, a comedy show.

In movies, Regina worked with the best Brazilian directors: Caca Diegues, Neville de Almeida, Arnaldo Jabour and surprisingly Caetano Veloso. “Eu tu eles” directed by Andrucha Waddington was considered the best work of Regina Casé.

In television, Regina had many TV Shows. “Esquenta”, her last show, is a success, but she had also “Brasil Legal”, “Programa Legal” and “Muvuca”. Regina finds ordinary, but talented, people. In “Esquenta” the participants talk about simple things, accompanied by samba, funk and excited people. This TV Show is like Brazil, and Brazil is like Regina Casé.
